Invited groups

Tartu Student Theatre (TÜT)  was established in the autumn of 1999. Every autumn they accept new students, who will work with older members in studio and try to bring out a new production every semester. TÜT usually produces 2-3 plays a year, participates on 2-3 festivals abroad and organizes summer schools during the summer.  Through its 20 years history, TÜT  has produced approximately 50 productions and nearly 40 of our former members work in professional theatre or are studying in theatre schools. The main aim of our theatre is staging the texts which are either unknown or new to the Estonian theatre.

Theatre studio PALÉPÉ (“The Attic”) was established in 1999. It is led by director Olegas Kesminas and scenographer Rasa Kriščiūnaitė. The theatre has become an important cultural centre of attraction. At the moment it unites more than 80 members. Intense creation, collective work, performances in foreign countries hold the members together, keeps the creative atmosphere, cultivates the long-term traditions. Students in this theatre, apart from acting, participate in the whole creative process: compose music, write plays, participate as light and sound operators, under the strict supervision of Rasa Kriščiūnaitė create scenography, costumes, etc.

Theatre 21 is a young group with a rich experience. Even though in its infancy in this formula, the group owns many years of performances, rehearsals, characters and emotions. It is an experiment made by a bunch of people (old members of the Ludic Student Theatre) to whom the stage is like a second home. They are determined to keep alive the passion that brought them together and to enjoy the friendship without which the theatre would be poorer. The group’s members count on their rich experience in national and international festivals. They are always searching for innovative theatre techniques, interesting texts and high-quality artistic experiences. They are young people open to intercultural exchanges with artists all over the world. The director of the play has a large experience, participating in more than thirty international festivals and hundreds of national student festivals.

The main objective of the ÔTHEATRE of GEC Marrakech is to develop the expressiveness and creativity of each person through working on improvisation and body language techniques (gesture, voice, space, time) and also working on staging, text and writing.

This workshop is designed to better understand the relationship that we have with others and better understand one another so as to develop self-confidence to assert oneself more, to improve one’s listening, to express one elf with conviction and a persuasion in a foreign language, to learn to manage one’s emotions and to leave one’s (comfort zone) safely...

Through this theatre Workshop, we want to put some techniques of expression and communication, at student’s disposal in order to teach them how to master these techniques beyond the activity, and this, allowing them to know themselves better and to be at ease with their environment and with the others.

The company of SZESZ (Szeged University Theatre) was founded in the summer of 2003. The 20 members of the company are mostly universty students. Their performances had great publicity in the printed press both locally and nationwide, and they took part on many festivals and guest-performances. Other than these the theatre group performs on literature-events, on galas and on entertainment events. The SZESZ love to experiment (the attitude dervies even from the agegroup of its members), they love exciting, dynamic and youthful performances, mostly from (contemporary) Hungarian authors. The most important for them is to transform the university- and secondary school students into a theatre-loving audience. The estimated audience is the agegroup between 18-25 but they expect the local community of Szeged too.
